Bored of the same-old Valentine’s plans? If want something truly special and unique to Atlanta, then the Valentine’s Night Out at the Center for Puppetry Arts might be just what you’re looking for. Here are six reasons you should spend Valentine’s with us:

  1. On-demand poets. Free Poems On Demand (http://www.freepoemsatl.org/) will be here to write poems for you on-the-spot on any topic you choose. For free! Opt out of traditional Hallmark sentiments and dedicate a one-of-a-kind Valentine’s poem to your date instead. You’ll get to take the poem home as a memento of your romantic evening. But that’s not your only party favor…

  2. We’ve designed a special Create-A-Puppet Workshop for this evening! Make your own Love Bird rod-and-string puppet and the decorate it however you wish.

  1. Oh, we have one more thing for you: Two caricature artists from the Lotus Eaters Club will be here to sketch an original drawing of you, your date AND the Muppet of your choosing! Included at no extra charge. Get those frames ready!

  1. Make your dinner reservations early, because dessert is on us. Enjoy a selection of sweet treats from Alon's Bakery throughout the evening.

  1. What goes better with chocolate than wine? We’ll have a cash bar serving beer and wine all evening.

  1. The Worlds of Puppetry Museum will be open, and we will also be discussing famous puppet couples from history. Those couples include Mobarak and Tayareh from Iran; Osome and Hisamatsu from Japan; Gonzo and Camilla from The Muppet Show; Milton and Ruth from Henson's The Song of Cloud Forest; and, of course, Kermit and Miss Piggy.
