Q: How much are tickets?
A: Ticket prices vary per activity, with discounts for Members and group rates. Click here to learn more about Ticket Prices and Policies.  

Q: Do I have to pay separately for the show and Museum admission or a workshop?
A: If you purchase a single show ticket, no. The family performance ticket price includes admission to the show, Museum and a Create-A-Puppet Workshop. The adult & teen performance ticket price includes admission to the show and Museum. If you do not wish to attend a performance, you may purchase admission tickets to the Museum or Create-A-Puppet Workshop. Teen & adult education classes are sold separately.  


Q: What are Create-A-Puppet Workshops?
A: Hands-on, curriculum-based workshops for children ages four and up (ages 2 and 3 welcome if accompanied by adult puppet builder).  Create a puppet to take home and put that puppet into performance on our classroom stage!  Offered days when Family Series performances are scheduled.  Times and format (instructor-led or self-guided) vary depending on day of week/time of year — contact Ticket Office for details.


Q: My child is about to turn two; do I have to pay for them too?
A: Children under two years of age are free as long as they do not take up a seat. Children ages two and up need tickets whether they take up a seat or not. 

Q: Am I allowed to bring my stroller or carrier into the theater?
A: Due to space limitations, we do not allow strollers or carriers in the theaters. Our staff will gladly assist you with storing them while you are in the show.


Q: What is the best way to get to the Center by mass transit?
A: Take MARTA (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority). Get off the North/South line at the Arts Center Station. Exit the Station at W. Peachtree Street. Go right on W. Peachtree Street. Go across street. Walk two blocks north on W. Peachtree Street. Turn left on 18th Street. Cross Spring Street. The Center is on the left-hand side on the corner of Spring and 18th Street. The entrance is at the rear of the building.


Q: How can I find information on your intern program?
A: Available internships are posted on the Work With Us section of the site.


Q: How can I submit a pre-existing show to your theater for your consideration?
A: The Center is committed to presenting the best works of puppetry from around the world, but has a limited budget and options for scheduling. To be considered, please send us a DVD videotape of your entire show and supporting materials (including technical specifications, press releases, etc.) concerning your company and the show(s) to be considered. If there are words in the show, the tape should be in English. Mail to: Art Group, Center for Puppetry Arts; 1404 Spring Street, NW; Atlanta, GA 30309-2820 (United States of America). Include a stamped, self-addressed envelope if you would like it returned. The Art Group will review and contact you if we are interested in presenting your show.

Q: I have a great idea for a show, and would like to work on it with the Center for Puppetry Arts. What do I do?
A: It is very rare for the Center to collaborate on a show, due to the many technical and legal complexities that ensue. However, if you would like to present your idea to us, please begin by registering a copyright on your idea prior to presenting it to us (or anyone). If the work is an adaptation of a pre-existing work, you must secure the copyrights to the work prior to contacting us. Mail your proposal to: Art Group, Center for Puppetry Arts; 1404 Spring Street, NW; Atlanta, GA 30309-2820 (United States of America). Include a stamped, self-addressed envelope if you would like it returned. The Art Group will review and contact you if we are interested in your show. Q: I am having an event for which I would like the Center to donate tickets. How do I request complimentary tickets?
A: The Center does make ticket donations for charitable events. To request complimentary tickets, please review our Ticket Donations guidelines here.

A: Yes! There are two organizations in the U.S. - Union International de la Marionnette (UNIMA-USA), or the Puppeteers of America.

Q: Should I purchase show tickets in advance?
A: Advance reservations are HIGHLY recommended. Performances often sell out, so book early.
Please contact the Ticket Office at least 72 hours in advance to redeem rain checks.


Q: What is the best way to get to the Center by mass transit?

Q: Is there parking on-site?
A: We do offer limited FREE parking on-site. Please plan to arrive at the Center at least 30 minutes prior to show time to allow time to park, pick up or purchase your tickets at the Ticket Office, and be seated in the theater.


Q: How is seating assigned in the theater?
A: Seating for each performance starts about 30 minutes before show time. General Admission seating is behind the Member section of the theater.

Q: Is there food available for sale on-site?
A: The Center does not currently have a snack bar on-site, but we do offer vending machines on the lower level. Patrons may utilize the picnic tables in Harlequin Hall (if available). No eating or drinking is allowed in the theaters, museum exhibits, or classrooms.


Q: Are photos allowed?
A: Photography WITHOUT FLASH is permitted and encouraged in Museum exhibits (be sure to use our hashtag #puppetryATL when sharing to social media). Patrons are welcome to take photos with or without flash in all other areas of the Center with the exception of our theaters during performances.


Q: Am I allowed to bring my stroller or carrier into the theater?
