Toddler Tuesdays: Museum Takeover!

First Tuesday of Every Month  10am & 11:30am

Come play with us and enjoy a different theme the first Tuesday of every month! Toddlers sing, move, and play with programming developed to encourage creativity and celebrate your mini-puppeteer-in-training. Each program features puppet-led storytelling, songs, movement, a developmentally-appropriate craft, and a hands-on toddler tour in our Worlds of Puppetry Museum. 

Book now! Capacity is limited to 25 for each time period.

 

All adults and children ages 2 and up must have a ticket.

Theme of the Day: Halloween

Tale Time
Children will stomp, snort, and growl along with the book, If You’re a Monster and you Know It by Ed and Rebecca Emberley. Then, discover that first impressions can be misleading as, one by one, a mouse discovers the not-so-scary images and sounds of fall in Mouses’ First Halloween by Lauren Thompson.

Move along to a monster action rhyme and participated in a pumpkin balloon toss!

Toddler Trek
Join us on an interactive toddler trek to learn about shadow puppetry and the museum’s friendly Muppet monsters! Try out Halloween inspired shadow puppetry in a toddler friendly environment. Visit our Muppet monsters, learn about Anything Muppets and play monster matching bingo.

Theme of the Day: Thanksgiving

Tale Time
Take a journey to Plymouth Rock with some feathered friends as we read Five Flying Turkeys by Barbara B. McGrath. Then, we’ll explore how everyone has something to share that their friends as we read Bear Says Thanks by Karma Wilson.

Toddler Trek
Join us as we explore the galleries and learn about the spirit of Thanksgiving! We’ll talk about the traditions of sharing in Native American communities and practice our own sharing skills. We’ll also see how Big Bird celebrates Thanksgiving with his friends and play a feathery counting game!
