Overview

Students will learn about Bunraku, the ancient puppetry style from Japan that is still used worldwide today, and be led in building a simple and effective version of this kind of puppet using newspaper and masking tape. With completed puppets, they will also be shown the basics of how to operate this puppet and the way it often involves a team of puppeteers working together to operate.
