The Encounter of Juan Bobo & Pedro Animal/ El Encuentro de Juan Bobo y Pedro Animal

In turn they see how two characters from Dominican and Puerto Rican folklore find friendship, self-esteem and confidence. New York's Latino puppetry theater is back for another hilarious bilingual hit. Two clowns from the Caribbean find that they've both been assigned to tell the audience a story from their homeland. One tells the story of Pedro Animal and his attempts to win the hand of his beloved Altagracia. The other tells the story of Juan Bobo, the fly-catching misfit who can't seem to do anything right for his poor, overworked mother. Los niños del público participan en este espectáculo estilo circo representado en español e inglés simultáneamente. Los niños verán como dos personajes del folklor dominicano y puertorriqueño aprenden el valor de la amistad. Dos titiriteros ambulantes quieren contar una historia de sus paises en el mismo escenario a la misma vez. Uno cuenta la historia de Pedro Animal y sus intenciones de conquistar a su querida Altagracia. El otro cuenta la historia de Juan Bobo, un chico al quien nada le sale bien cuando trata de ayudar a su madre.
