All three areas of programming at the Center for Puppetry Arts (performance, workshops, and Museum) support educational standards across the curriculum. Completing your field trip rationale form is easy — visit our Educator Resource page for information and assistance.
The Center's Family Series shows are recommended for ages 4 and up, but are open to all ages. Educator Resource Guides are available for download for each Center-produced Family Series performance during the school year at no charge. The New Directions Series shows are not recommended for all ages. See each show description for details.
The Center provides a wide variety of interactive workshops for all age groups. Create-A-Puppet Workshops™, which allows your group to create, decorate, and perform with their very own puppet! Create-A-Puppet designs correlate with the current show theme. To-Go Kits are also available.
Arts-infused workshops and interactive puppet performances, conducted via videoconferencing and tailored to specific classroom topics and curriculum for PreK-12 groups. Consider adding a pre- and/or post- virtual fieldtrip before your visit to the Center!
Our Worlds of Puppetry Museum features the largest collection of Jim Henson's puppets, as well as hundreds of puppets from around the world, all of which will delight and educate your students. Learn more about Museum programs.

Group tours are scheduled by appointment and must be scheduled and purchased at least 2 weeks in advance.
All of our tours can be customized to your group’s grade level or specific educational needs! You can also choose the self-guided experience using one of our dynamic museum lesson plans that includes pre-, during-, and post-visit content. All museum experiences support K-12 educational standards across the curriculum.
