Associate Marketing Director


The Associate Marketing Director reports to the Marketing Director and is responsible for all marketing communications, website support, community engagement, public relations and special events. This is a full-time position with some flexibility to work from home when needed.


  • Write and distribute all external marketing communications
  • Maintain and update programming content on the Center’s website
  • Primary liaison between the Center and the website support agency
  • Manage all media relations
  • Responsible for building community relations, marketing outreaches, partnerships and cross promotions with other arts organizations
  • Assist with digital marketing efforts as needed
  • Plan and execute special events for marketing and audience building purposes
  • Project manage any special project or initiatives assigned by Executive Director or Marketing Director


• Refresh and maintain website with the most current content
• Create and distribute all email communications
• Assist in data clean-up in Tessitura when needed
• Responsible for pulling lists from the Tessitura ticketing system to target emails
• Respond to website messages by ensuring they are sent to appropriate departments
• Write press releases, pitch media outlets, set up interviews and follow through
• Cultivate and maintain community and vendor partners to build mutually beneficial relationships
• Manage any outside vendors for administrative and marketing needs ie: marketing premiums, stationary, etc.
• Required to work some evenings and weekends as needed for special events


• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, WordPress, and CRM Systems, Tessitura & Wordfly
• Working knowledge of social media management systems such as Hootsuite, Facebook Business, Google Analytics, and SEO


Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 5 years related experience


Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


Salary $45,000.00 annually
