Join Our Online Auction – May 4-6, 2021
When the Center temporarily closed its theatres in March of 2020, more than 70% of the income we earned through ticket sales, event rentals, onsite purchases and educational programming through field trips disappeared. We needed to pivot our programming quickly and increased our digital offerings worldwide to over 87 countries.
To continue expanding our reach, we are excited to announce that we will bring our annual auction online with a new virtual event, CALL TO AUCTION!
The Center for Puppetry Arts is thrilled to take our annual silent auction to new heights and invite all of our wonderful members, supporters and followers from around the world to join in on the fun. This 3-day online event will help us net $100,000 in support of the Center’s mission: to inspire imagination, education and community through the global art of puppetry.

About the Center
Our Mission: to inspire imagination, education and community through the global art of puppetry.
Our Vision: To be the premier puppetry center in the world through our performances, museum and educational programming. Click below to learn more.
With an annual budget averaging less than $22 a visitor, the Center reaches a larger audience than the Atlanta Ballet and the Atlanta Opera combined while offering a wider variety of arts experiences at a fraction of the cost. While the majority of the Center’s patrons come from Georgia, the museum is an international attraction for Jim Henson fans and puppetry enthusiasts. Family Series performances are designed to educate, entertain, and engage children ages four and up and their families; New Directions Series performances are curated to challenge audiences, stretch boundaries, and demonstrate the breadth of puppetry as an art form.
The Center’s signature interactive learning initiative is the Create-A-Puppet Workshop™, which is designed to be fun and interactive for patrons of all ages. The award-winning Digital Learning program (est. 1998) provides virtual access to the Center and has played a pivotal role in connecting patrons with the Center during the COVID-19 pandemic. This combination of services makes the Center one of most accessible arts institutions in the state and one of the most recognizable childhood experiences irrespective of economic, ethnic, or racial differences.
