Explore the world of movement and learn how to use your whole body to become a better puppeteer. Learn how simple concepts can be applied to enhance your characters and work as a unified ensemble.

Presented by award-winning puppeteers Alex & Olmsted (Alex Vernon and Sarah Olmsted Thomas), sharing their wisdom gained as resident artists with Baltimore Theatre Project and Happenstance Theater, and as invited performers at dozens of festivals including the Festival de Casteliers in Montréal, The Festival of Animated Objects in Calgary, and Symphony Space in New York City.

NOTE: Wear movement clothes and be ready to move and play.

Alex & Olmsted (Alex Vernon and Sarah Olmsted Thomas) is an internationally acclaimed puppet theater company. In recent years, they have played the Festival of Wonder in Denmark, the Puppet Festival Chuncheon in South Korea, the Festival de Casteliers in Montréal, The Festival of Animated Objects in Calgary, Symphony Space in New York City, among others. Alex & Olmsted is a resident company at Baltimore Theatre Project. They were awarded a 2020 Jim Henson Foundation Family Grant for their outer space puppet show – Marooned!
