The World on a String
Presented by Kurt Hunter, Hunter Marionettes
The worldwide traditions of string puppetry are rich and varied. The mechanics of marionettes offer challenges that have been met in a variety of ways. Session one (March 21) will invite participants to explore these topics through demonstrations, photos and discussion, leaving plenty of time for time for questions and some hands-on opportunities. Session 2 (March 23) will allow participants looking for more instruction time to play, time to discover the movement possibilities and emotions that those movements can convey, working with simple marionettes in small groups to explore and discover characters in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Cost: $25 single session (either) or $45 for both
March 21: 7pm-9pm
March 23: 6:30pm-9:30pm
