In 1979, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners established the Fulton County Arts Council to enhance the quality of life of Fulton County Residents. The Fulton County Arts Council and the Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture serves as Fulton County’s funding agency to support cultural programs and the agency which provides services to Fulton County based nonprofit arts organizations and Fulton County residents. For the last 37 years, Fulton County Arts & Culture has vigorously pursued quality arts programming through support and development of artists, arts organizations, arts institutions, and cultural programming for residents. This support ensures that all citizens have access to the arts, which are essential to our quality of life and to the economic and social health of our communities.

The major financial support received from Fulton County helps keep our ticket prices low and makes it possible for the Center to be one of the most accessible arts organizations in Atlanta. Each year some 75,000 deeply discounted (and in some cases, free) admissions to Center programming are provided to schools and organizations. This is only possible because of the contributions of Center donors like Fulton County. With this support, children of all backgrounds can enjoy a unique, arts-infused educational experience. Some will be inspired to be more creative, others will find they enjoy learning and all will be touched by the magic of puppetry.

You can become a Center for Puppetry Arts supporter with a contribution to the Field Trip Fund and ensure a child, who would otherwise not have the opportunity, is exposed to the arts. Make your gift today!
