Meet the Cast

Qate Bean
Puppeteer
QateBean (she/they) is an Atlanta-born creator, performer, fabricator, teaching artist, and puppeteer. For 15+ years QateBean has done puppetry stuff for film and living mortals. They are the founder of HumanBean Puppets & Things, and is BEAN! of the best friends puppetry/magic duo The Bean&Bear Show! Bean has haunted the halls and basement crawl spaces of Center for Puppetry Arts as a puppet builder, an educator, and a puppeteer in Peter Pan, Xperimental Puppetry Theatre, and many event walk-arounds. Most importantly, Bean has also been a kid seeing puppet shows here for the first and many times. We hope your visit to the castle is extra spooky-special and frightfully fun!
Jared Brodie
Puppeteer
Jared is excited to be returning to the Center for Puppetry Arts! Jared is an Atlanta actor, singer, and puppeteer, with past CPA credit: Brer Rabbit and Friends, Old MacDonald, Beauty and the Beast, and more! When he’s not on stage, Jared enjoys training clients in fitness, teaching arts to the youth, and rebuilding his podcast company. At this time, Jared would like to thank his family and friends for their love and support, mentors for their tutelage, and last but not least, the patrons of the arts. With all my heart, thank you!
Nate Jenkins
Puppeteer
Nate is so excited to be acting in his debut performance at Center for Puppetry Arts! Nate has performed with many other theaters in the Atlanta Metro Area, including Honor in Honor and the River at The Art Station in Stone Mountain and more recently as Jack Worthing in The Importance of Being Earnest with Mad Artists Entertainment! He would like to thank his family for always pushing and supporting his efforts, and his absolutely brilliant (and growing) network of friends here in Atlanta, without whom he would not have had this amazing opportunity! Enjoy the show, because now is when the veil is thinnest between reality and puppetry….Welcome to the Spookhouse!
Christina Cusack Curbelo
Puppeteer
Originally from Miami, Christina (they/she) began performing in church productions at the age of 5. Their creative experience expanded to include roles in short films, web series, plays, musicals, sketch comedy, improv, and voice-over work. They’re also a singer-songwriter and keyboardist. Christina is a member of the 2025 Dad’s Garage Improv Conservatory, and their recent credits include Invasion: Christmas Carol (Dad’s Garage), Hot Jambalaya (Dad’s Garage), and XPT: Xperimental Puppetry Theater (Center for Puppetry Arts). As the swing in Spookhouse Annie, Christina is exploring a lifelong fascination with puppetry, and she couldn’t be happier.
