Where Social-Emotional Curriculum Takes Center Stage

At the Center for Puppetry Arts, we know that when students feel seen, heard, and understood, they flourish.

Through our partnership with New Insights Intervention, we are bringing Georgia schools a research-informed program that strengthens social-emotional skills through the art of puppetry. By combining evidence-based strategies with immersive, story-driven experiences, we help students build resilience, empathy, and self-regulation in ways that are engaging, memorable, and meaningful.

Today’s classrooms are filled with curious students, many of whom are navigating stress, big emotions, and complex social dynamics. Teachers are being asked to do more than ever.

INSIGHTS Intervention supports schools by:
  • Encouraging emotional awareness and healthy expression
  • Strengthening peer relationships and classroom community
  • Supporting focus and positive behavior
  • Creating a shared language around emotional growth

Through puppetry, students explore real-life challenges at a safe emotional distance. When a puppet works through frustration or models empathy, students can reflect and practice those same skills themselves.

This is not “one more thing.”
It is a resource that:
  • Practical, immediately usable strategies
  • Reinforcement of existing SEL goals
  • Engaging methods that capture student attention
  • Support in creating calmer, more connected learning environments
When students are emotionally regulated and engaged, instructional time expands — and classrooms thrive.

For decades, the Center for Puppetry Arts has been a national leader in arts-integrated education.

We understand the unique power of puppetry to open hearts, lower defenses, and spark meaningful dialogue.

By pairing this expertise with the structured framework of New Insights Intervention, we offer Georgia schools something truly distinctive: research-backed social-emotional learning delivered through the transformative magic of puppetry.
