Can’t Make It In-Person?
Join Us for the virtual Workshop on May 19

At its most basic, the Bag Puppet consists of nothing more than a head on top of a stuffed sack. Yet this deceptively simple tabletop puppet can become as effective an actor as a puppet with articulated joints, complex mechanisms, or even limbs!
Invented by French puppeteer Patrick Conan, the Bag Puppet is an effective tool for both solo storytelling and ensemble pieces. In this workshop, you will see examples of this type of puppet in action and learn tips on how to make a basic Bag Puppet of your own. Workshop leader Mike Horner of What if Puppets first started using Bag Puppets when he needed a way to have five characters appear on stage at one time.
Please note, this is the in-person version of the Online Workshop: Exploring Table-Top Bag Puppetry virtual workshop on May 19 at 7 PM
