Frequently Asked Questions

Our Ticket Sales Office is open seven days a week to answer your questions and facilitate ticket orders. Keep in mind that questions should be asked well in advance of your intended trip date.

Do you offer student or industry discounts?

Yes — on workshops! Students can get a $5.00 discount on all Explore Puppetry workshops with a current student ID. And industry professionals can take $5.00 popular workshops if they are members of ACPA (Atlanta Performs, a.k.a. Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts), AEA (Actors Equity Association), APG (Atlanta Puppetry Guild), Atlanta Fringe Festival button holders, C4 Atlanta, DGA (Directors Guild of America), GAPTA (Georgia Professional Ticketing Organization), P of A (Puppeteers of America), SAG (Screen Actors’ Guild), TCG (Theatre Communications Group) or UNIMA (Union Internationale de la Marionette).

Can I get a performance-only ticket?

Nope. We want all young visitors to enjoy the full puppetry experience! Also, once you come into the facility to see a show, how could you not wander the museum or stop by the puppet building lab? Our all-inclusive tickets make your experience more memorable.

What should I do if I have to cancel my visit last minute and can’t use my Museum tickets?

Center for Puppetry Arts does not offer refunds, but we do offer rainchecks and Museum ticket vouchers. If you cannot use your Museum tickets on the date intended, call the Ticket Office at 404-873-3391.

How do I redeem a ticket voucher or raincheck?

If you are planning to use rainchecks or vouchers to pay for some of your tickets, let the Ticket Office know at least 72 hours in advance so they can help you redeem them. Remember: vouchers and rainchecks cannot be redeemed online!

Why do some shows list a higher ticket price than you’ve shown?

Some of our most popular shows like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer may have higher prices on certain days and times. Always be sure to check your show detail page for current pricing. All prices are subject to change.

Testimonial

I’m 71 years old and my whole life I’ve loved puppets. I was very excited when I retired here to learn that the Center for Puppetry Arts is just an hour drive away. I’ve enjoyed the shows there and enjoyed the museum exhibits. My son took me and his family there for my birthday several years ago before I became a member. My grandchildren, who are in their 20s, were amazed to see your production of Rudolph. It’s like a Broadway show!

Educational & Hands-on

I love the educational plus the hands-on aspects of this program. The presenter engages the students, asks lots of questions and gets the students to repeat after him.

The Best Field Trip Ever

Dear Puppetry Center, Thank you for that puppet show. My favorite part was making the puppets. I really love watching the Billy Goats Gruff and other tales. You people made this the best field trip I ever had.
