Live, Dynamic & Interactive!
Learn about three different Native American cultures – Eastern Woodlands, Plains, and Southwest. Participate in activities that focus on the use of natural resources from different regions and how these resources shaped their lives in regard to clothing, shelter, and transportation. Explore the Hopi culture and discuss how kachinas (or ancestral spirits) are represented as figurines and masks for ceremonial purposes.Â
Plus, everyone gets to learn about how hand puppets work, see a real puppet from the Center’s collection – and build their very own Hopi Kachina hand puppet during the workshop!Â
