Types of Puppet Workshops
Taught workshop style
Explore different puppetry styles, celebrate the history of the art of puppetry, create an exciting puppet of your own, and then bring that puppet to life by learning basic puppet manipulation!
This workshop can be tailored to any group/classroom theme and can be adjusted to fit any schedule
*(one-hour or two-hour sessions suggested).
Puppet Factory Style
This puppet-making activity is perfect for festivals and promotional events. In assembly-line fashion, participants build and decorate their very own puppet to take home.
We provide one instructor and all puppet parts and decorations. Your organization provides tables, chairs, and adult volunteers. Choose from one of our unique puppet designs, or, for a modest fee, let us create a custom-made puppet for you!
Capacity: serves approximately 80 participants per hour
Create-A-Puppet Workshop™
Enjoy interactive, curriculum-inspired puppet-building workshops for children ages 4 & up. Participants become puppet makers and puppeteers as they each create a puppet and perform with it on our classroom stage or in your home “studio”. Ages 2 and 3 are welcome if accompanied by an adult puppet builder.
Learning activities in the instructor-led sessions and the puppet design correlate with the current Family Series performance theme.
