Create-A-Puppet Workshop™

Enjoy interactive, curriculum-inspired puppet-building workshops for children ages 4 & up. Participants become puppet makers and puppeteers as they each create a puppet and perform with it on our classroom stage or in your home “studio”.  Ages 2 and 3 are welcome if accompanied by an adult puppet builder. Learning activities in the instructor-led sessions and the puppet design correlate with the current Family Series performance theme.

Create-A-Puppet Workshops™ are included with your Center ticket to any Family Series Production. You may add Create-A-Puppet Workshop™ to your Museum-Only ticket when you pick up your ticket at will call. To add a workshop to your group Museum experience, please call 404-873-3391.

Create-A-Puppet Workshop™ To-Go Kits

We will assemble individual bags of puppet-making materials for each person in your group. You supply glue and/or tape. Makes a great follow-up art activity to further engage students and reinforce what they’ve learned at the Center. Comes with an illustrated step-by-step instruction sheet and/or video instructions.

Interim Education Director

Sara Burmenko

Sara started her career at the Center in 2000, after receiving her degree in Education. Her first position was in the Education department, where she was able to combine her passion for the arts, as well as her love for teaching. Throughout her time at the Center, Sara took on many different roles, settling in the Digital Learning Department. In 2016, she became the department’s director and has continued to expand its award-winning programming.

Digital Learning is currently in all 50 states and 88 countries.
