In-House Programs Manager
SUMMARY
The Center for Puppetry Arts is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and detail-oriented In-House Programs Manager to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of our onsite educational experiences. From curriculum-integrated workshops to arts-based camps and adult learning, this position drives impact through puppetry-based programming for diverse audiences. At the Center for Puppetry Arts, our mission is to inspire imagination, education, and community through the art of puppetry. Located in Atlanta, we’re home to one of the largest collections of puppets in the United States, a vibrant performance season, and education programs that reach across Georgia and beyond. Director of Education
PRIMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and deliver creative, standards-aligned programs for K–12 and adult learners
- Manage artists and educators to develop engaging, puppetry-integrated workshops
- Plan, Coordinate and Implement logistics for in-house classes, camps, and residencies
- Recruit and train teaching artists and instructors
- Partner across teams to align education initiatives with seasonal programming
- Manage budgets, contracts, materials, and data to support program operations
- Support grant efforts and collaborate with development and marketing to promote offerings
- Foster inclusion and creativity across all educational touchpoints
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Mix of desk-based and classroom activities
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when needed
- May require occasional evening or weekend hours
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in education, arts education, museum studies, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in program development and team leadership
- Knowledge of K–12 curriculum standards and instructional best practices
- Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Dedication to access, equity, and creativity in education
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with arts integration, puppetry, or informal learning environments
- Familiarity with museum education or nonprofit program management
- Comfort with collaborative project planning tools
EMPLOYMENT STATUS
AND PAY
Full-Time and Onsite
Salary Range: $40,000–$45,000
