See Gingerbread Boys Come to Life
This program opens with a look at how this story is told around the world. The Musubi Man, Jan Brett’s Gingerbread Baby, The Run Away Rice Cake, and more versions of the story are compared. Students witness the classic tale of The Gingerbread Boy comes to life with brilliantly colored shadow puppets. The story is narrated and performed during the first part of the program.
As a culminating activity, students make their very own Gingerbread Boy Shadow Puppet and learn about gingerbread’s ingredients. LOTS of movement for students in this program!
