Unlock Puppetry Magic: Perform with Bonnie Duncan!
Presented By Bonnie Duncan / The Gottabees (Boston, MA)
Tired of hiding behind a black curtain? In this playful workshop, you’ll learn techniques for generating and performing scenes played between a puppet and their puppeteer, both onstage AT THE SAME TIME! Join Bonnie Duncan (known for playing both the main character and puppeteer of her one-woman shows) as she guides you through the process of how The Gottabees creates and refines their brand of non-verbal physical theater. Using physical theater games and partner exercises, you’ll explore how to divide your inner attention between performer and puppeteer and how to generate new material for stage without words. Participants will create and share movement, moments, scenes, and stories of their own using The Gottaabees’ approaches.
LEVEL: All skills welcome but participants must have a comfort / interest / experience in performing and/or devising theater | 18+
