Explore Puppetry Series
Presented By Betsy Falk, Puppeteer/Puppet Builder/Teacher, Production Manager of Monkey Boys Productions (Hatfield, PA)
Join Betsy Falk in this joyful weekend-long puppetry workshop that will lead you from design to build to the performance of your very own hand-in-mouth rod puppet! Monkey Boys Productions used their years of experience in the puppetry industry to build their DIY department to make professional-level puppet-building more accessible to people. This workshop will feature the “Dunk Pro Monster Puppet Kit,” an infinitely customizable character featuring a round ball-like body and long, spindly arms. Participants can choose the colors of both their fur and their fleece and will get a chance to make their puppet all their own. The fee includes all materials and instruction, dinner Friday evening, breakfast Saturday and Sunday, and lunch Saturday. Basic crafting and sewing skills are required.
Retreat Hours are:
Friday: 7pm-9:30pm
Saturday: 10am-6pm
Sunday: 10am-4pm
Dinner will be included on Friday and breakfast will be included on Saturday and Sunday.

Betsy Falk
Betsy Falk holds a BA in theatre from DeSales University and a MS in Education from Gwynedd Mercy University. In the past, she has worked as the Wardrobe Supervisor for Theatre for a New Audience (NYC), Costume Shop Supervisor for the Weathervane Theater (Whitefield, NH), and a Director/Costume Designer/General Manager for On Stage & Off, Inc. (Lansdale, PA). She is an experienced seamstress who finds her sanity in making things, so she spends her free time sewing, painting, knitting, baking, and making art with her two sons.
